It's really easy for shops to set-up, all that is required is a PayPal Pro account.

Behind the scenes, the payments are processed by PayPal. However, the buyer is unaware of this as the pages are branded in the shop colours. The buyer does not require a PayPal account, they simply use their card details.

To enable card payments on a shop, the shop-owner must have a PayPal Pro account. This costs around £20 a month. For further details https://www.paypal-business.co.uk/website-payments-pro.asp . When signed-up, the shop-owner simply enters their PayPal Pro details into their Admin Panel Payment Methods page and their shop can start to take card payments.

Orders are still progressed on GroovyCart using your shop Admin Panel, but card payments are managed via you PayPal Pro account.

As an added level of security against fraud, GroovyCart supports 'industry standard' 3-D Secure authentication to achieve higher coverage against fraud losses. When a merchant does not use 3-D Secure they are liable for fraudulent transactions even if the transaction was properly authorized.

This 3-D secure service is provided by Cardinal Centinel. http://www.cardinalcommerce.com/

Again, it is very simply to register and set-up and it doesn't cost anything as it is included in your PayPal Pro monthly charge. When you have got your PayPal Pro account, click here to register and then copy the credentials into your Admin Panel Payment Methods.

Cardinal even provide a simple 'Merchant Admin Tool' web interface where shop-owners can view details about card transactions.

In addition to card payments, PayPal Pro also enables Express checkout which allows purchases to be made without the buyer having to register on GoovyCart first. In this instance, PayPal will automatically update GroovyCart with details of the transaction.
