Hi and Welcome to the GroovyCart Service Update Page.

Service Alerts

There are no service alerts - the server and software are working fine.

The GroovyCart service cannot be guaranteed. There are no Service Level Agreements in place, the server is "up-when-it-is-up" and "down-when-it-is-down". If we encounter a severe problem, we will try to restore service as soon as we can, but if we can't we will try and contact shop-owners to let them know what is happening.

Planned Major Outages

• No planned outages.

Occasionally there may be a need to bounce the server or take down the service at short notice. We will try and keep this to a minimum and, if possible, give advance notice.

• 05/09/2009 19:00 (BST) - Server: hardware failure, opportunity taken to upgrade server. Service restored at 19:00.
• 01/09/2008 11:00 (BST) - GroovyCart R270 deployed - no outage.
• 12/08/2008 06:00 (BST) - Platform: Sever Apple Software Update 2008-005 - server bounce, 5 minute outage.
• 01/08/2008 10:00 (BST) - GroovyCart R260 deployed - no outage, server bounce at 06:00 (BST) to clear database cache.
• 17/07/2008 14:00 (BST) - GroovyCart R250 deployed - no outage.
• 30/06/2008 14:00 (BST) - GroovyCart R240 deployed - no outage.

System Performance

The server is working fine.

Platform

The GroovyCart application runs on an Apple G5 Xserve server running Leopard 10.5 Operating System with Apache 2.2. MySQL 5 and PHP 5, with Graphics Library (GD) support.
