Hints & Tips for Selling on GroovyCart.co.uk

  • Login regularly.  At the moment logging in will put you at the top of the list of shops on the “view other shops” page.
  • Take good, clear photographs with at least one close-up. Plain backgrounds are good too.
  • Have some cheaper items available. Customers may be wary about buying expensive items from a seller that they haven’t bought from before. Give them a chance to buy some cheaper items until they feel confident that you are a reliable seller.
  • It is a good idea to post items out as quickly as possible or at least let the customer know when you are going to post an item if there is likely to be a delay.
  • List as many items for sale as possible. Upgrading will allow you to list more items. This will give you more chance of being found by customers searching google and other search engines. Even if you have a free Bronze level shop you will be able to list upto 90 items if you use the attributes wisely.
  • Using Attributes. If you have similar items for sale for example the same necklace with different stones, you could photograph 3 together and then say in the description available with Garnet, Amethyst or Rose quartz. Then in the attributes list them separately, they can even be priced differently or you could have the same item but in different sizes or colours.
  • Use as many relevant keywords in the Title and Tag fields. i.e instead of saying “silver necklace” say Silver, Sterling, 925, Amethyst, 16” figaro chain, pendant, semi precious stone, George Jenson, etc. Don’t forget to put commas between the keywords in the tags field.
  • Promote your Shop / URL on discussion forums & social networking groups such as Facebook, Twitter & BtTradespace.
  • Don’t forget you can turn purchasing off or turn your shop off when you go away on holiday.
