Google Analytics (stat tracking)

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics allows you to track information about your customers viewing your GroovyCart shop.

Google can then provide you with excellent information about:

  • Visits
  • Pageviews
  • Average Pageviews
  • Time on Site
  • New Visits
  • Languages
  • Browser and operating systems
  • Location in the world

And much much more.

Where do I start?

You will first need to get a Google Analytics Account with Google.

www.google.co.uk/analytics

When you set up an account it will tell you you need to paste some code onto your website, but we have already done this for you. All you need to do is enter your Google Analytics Web Property ID in the Google Analytics ID field on the Optional Settings page (requires login) on the GroovyCart admin panel.

Where do you get the Google Analytics ID from?

You can find out where to get your Web Property ID in the following images:

When you are on the Google Analytics Dashboard:

When Google provide you with the code:

Please note: If you have multiple GroovyCart shops you can track each shop individually by clicking Add Website Profiles on the Google Analytics Dashboard.
